I agree. There is nothing wrong with Gay Marriage. The thing that I believe is the problem is: A) Religion, and B) Who will we keep rights from next? We've done Indians, Jews, blacks, interracial couples, now we don't have them! WE CAN'T LOSE THE GAYS!

(This was written in regards to a discussion about inter-sexual rights)

My Response:
No offense to religious people, but religion plays possibly the most important role in the problem against inter-sexual marriages. People who believe in a certain being are often led to  believe that that person is the sole contributor of our "will" and "fate" (ie. when they say "it's not God's way"). Well, it isn't God's way to lie, and they do it anyways...
"God's way" is simply a phrase used to discourage differences and/or situations in which a person is uncomfortable. We are simply human and have to experience things to learn; we can't simply wait for God to teach us everything necessary in order to live, and part of living is feeling, and you can't help it.
(As cliche as this may be), you can't help who you fall in love with. If from the beginning of time we were paired with the same sex (which would make more sense if you think about it: similar interests, similar "problems", similar clothes), then there would be absolutely no problem, but because people are brought up to think a certain way, they are limited to that and find difficulty doing otherwise.
And why? Because people are uncomfortable with the unfamiliar. That's the bottom line. Obviously, i'm not just talking about religious people, but anybody and everybody "wired" to think narrowly and seclusively.
Obviously, this simply means that they are not at fault and should not be thought of negatively. But the same goes for those liberals fighting for their rights: they shouldn't be punished/frowned upon for following what they believe in.

Bottom Line:
There's nobody to blame for arguments and disagreements between people. Face it, there will always be something to disagree upon, but you can not blame a scapegoat simply because of difference of opinion.
Yes, it may have seemed like I attacked religion, but that was just the most poignant example I could use and it fit with MY opinion on this matter.

(Yes, I probably rambled, but I'd rather not edit for fear of loss of point)

for a lot of people its not so much that it isn't "God's way" but more that it isn't nature's way. I both agree and disagree... its a sketchy subject.

hmm....although i'm a strong believer in my religion i absolutly agree with you. anyway most of what we "say" god wants is mostly the manipulation of words by people way up in the ranks of the religion. they "think" it's wrong to be a certain way (like gay for one) and they change the beliefs to fit their views. this is why i hate people. many dont know how to accept people for what they are. they always want conformity. "if you don't fit the bill, conform or be exiled."
